We’re a group of professional, career-oriented mothers who are navigating the journey of motherhood and our professional lives together. Members are women of all ages with children of all ages, entrepreneurs, professionals, income-earners, and decision makers.

Monthly Chapter meetings, BAM-only events, social gatherings, speakers, and more are all part of our mission to connect local mothers in a supportive, warm environment. We are all about living authentic lives—which means getting rid of our ‘mom guilt’ (or our guilt over not feeling any mom guilt!), casting aside expectations of perfection, and feeling supported in our journey to be our best selves as professionals, mothers, wives, friends, and more.

You can expect a fairly structured meeting, focused discussion, networking and promotion opportunities, and some socializing, too. We’ll respect your time, and we will start and end meetings as close to on-time as possible!

Having trouble knocking out your to do list? Join us as we gather for dedicated work time. We meet regularly to power through specific goals – social media scheduling, inbox de-cluttering, file organization, pipeline follow up – and more. We even invite local business experts to join us and provide one-on-one recommendations and coaching. Work #bettertogether and power through those tasks that keep slipping through the cracks.
In-Person Educational Workshops (Hands On Learning for Small Biz) – Open to the Public

Hear from local experts and speakers on a variety of topics designed to equip and empower your success as a business owner. Focused on actionable takeaways and information you can immediately implement to improve your everyday business and life.

The Hampton Roads BAM chapter welcomes women from all walks of life across Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Portsmouth, Hampton, Newport News and beyond!

We are a kid-friendly tribe of women committed to doing life together. Whether that means coming together to brainstorm new business ideas and tackle professional roadblocks, hosting a potluck dinner or BBQ while the kids play, testing our courage at the ropes course, laughing through our paddle boarding adventures, or going out into the local community to serve those in need, the #HRVA BAM tribe loves to celebrate the beautiful chaos of life and everything that can mean for us as women, mothers, friends, sisters, business owners, side hustlers, career professionals, wives and selves.

Meeting regularly each month, both in-person and via virtual connect, the Hampton Roads chapter is a great place for women looking to make new friends, get a better grip on their business vision, and be surrounded by those who understand the unique challenges of balancing entrepreneurship and motherhood. All are welcome!

Our meetings tend to be spirited and heartfelt, with kiddos often running happily among us or playing in another room. Because our group covers a substantial bit of ground, and Hampton Roads traffic most often works to make life extra fun, meetings are hosted at a variety of locations – sometimes at a leader’s home in Chesapeake and sometimes in different social or coworking spots in Virginia Beach and Norfolk. We welcome local speakers and influencers to share, work together in a mastermind circle of trust and accountability, and are always looking for new ways to further cultivate an environment where everyone feels valued, purposed and heard.

Our virtual meetings often include listening in to a favorite podcast or video, lasting about 45 minutes to an hour, as we check in with each other on the go during lunch or later evenings as we’re winding down. Our in-person meetings generally last about 1.5 hours, including some social time at the beginning, a member business spotlight and about an hour of discussion on a shared topic of interest. We are a casual group where everyone has a voice and we understand if you’re running a few minutes late or have to pop out a few minutes early. We get it! We’re with you and we truly believe we are #bettertogether.

Celebrating over 350 active local members, the Washington chapters host an incredibly diverse community of female entrepreneurs, ranging from moms just starting out with a side hustle to full-time business owners with over 25 years of experience.

Members are welcome to explore and visit all groups across Washington with most meetings lasting about ninety minutes in length – beginning with open networking, followed by small group discussion, business education and business showcases.

Special Events

Most recently, we launched a new Business Book Club in partnership with member organization, The Inc. Meeting monthly, this group of avid readers tackles books ranging on topics from business organization to visionary leadership to goal setting and more. As this group continues to develop, Amy is exploring expanding the offering nationwide, inviting all chapters to pick up this month’s book and get their learn on…together!

Last, but certainly not least, local Washington members are closest in range to attend and participate in the annual BAM Success Summit. Going on its fifth as a successful regional conference offering connection, education and inspiration to women in business from all walks of life, the event is hosted each May. The two-day event includes a rigorous schedule of inspiring keynote speakers, educational breakout sessions, a boisterous vendor floor and more than a few extra fun social opportunities to kick back among friends and celebrate your success as a business owner!

Members are given priority as both vendors and sponsors, with special opportunities for early registration and insider sneak peeks offered well in advance of the general public. Meet Chapter leaders and BAM cheerleaders from across the country, recharge your entrepreneurial battery, and enjoy some much-needed refreshment among women that “get it.”

Our Mantra: Support. Education. Community.

Welcome to the Lynnwood chapter of Business Among Moms! We are thrilled to invite female business owners and professional women from the North Sound and all over the Puget Sound area to join our community and connect with like-minded women who believe that our success is exponentially amplified when we come together to learn and grow both in business and in life.

Our tribe is filled with a diverse variety of fabulous women from all walks of life, professions and industries. We meet once monthly in a BAM member-owned coworking space for about ninety minutes. Our meetings consist of ample networking time so that our members can connect and collaborate with each, and we are then treated to a 10-minute spotlight where a BAM member highlights their business so that we can better support their growth and share their expertise with others. Our 20-minute speaker presentations that follow are focused on topics that will directly assist our members in achieving their business goals. Some of our more popular recent meeting topics have included: Time Management Improvement, Marketing Tips on a Limited Budget, Understanding Search Engines and De-Stressing with Chair-Based Yoga.

The mission of the Lynnwood BAM chapter is to provide support, education, and community to our members. We laugh, we share, and we build partnerships at each meeting. We take the time to appreciate each other and our businesses. Our members are moms with children from infants to adults, or covered in fur – some women are kid-free. This diversity helps our members get support from each other not just in their business, but in their personal lives, as well. All of these experiences add to the BAM Lynnwood community and we passionately believe we are offering local women a unique opportunity to establish long-term friendships and professional relationships that will champion their success both in their work and more importantly, at home.

BAM Lynnwood also holds several Mastermind Meetings each year. This is a terrific opportunity for members to get to know more about each other’s businesses, as well as the triumphs and challenges we face as professionals. Many of our members often work solo and don’t always have the opportunity to receive input or feedback on their business strategies. The Lynnwood chapter serves as this resource, with years of business know-how offered by each member.

Striving for Your Best You in Your Business

Welcome! We are a new chapter of collaborative women who are deeply interested in learning how to effectively network and grow our businesses. Led by a local fitness center operator and health coach, our meetings always have amazing snacks on hand because we believe fueling our bodies while we learn is important! Some of our members are in direct sales, while others have more traditional business compositions, ranging from small start-ups to a team of employees. We are non-exclusive and welcome women from all walks of life. Come as you are!

Our meetings are casual and kid-free, following a basic outline. We introduce ourselves and share a bit about what we do, follow that up with a business spotlight delivered by one of our members, and then our guest speaker takes the floor. We end with a round of push-ups and burpees…just kidding!! We end with more snacking (Did we mention there is food?) and networking. (Psst…you are totally welcome to hit the floor and knock out those burpees if you want. We won’t stop you!)

If you’re looking for a group of women that are genuinely interested in your success, willing to give honest feedback and actionable insights to grow your business than this is the group for you! Bonus points if you’re seeking to develop deep friendships within a vibrant community that believes being your best you personally is the optimal way to stage yourself for professional success. We’re doing LIFE together.

What’s on the future agenda for us as we continue to grow our local tribe? We’re hoping to plan extra opportunities to get together, focusing on health and wellness, and good old-fashioned fun!
